First Presbyterian is located at 226 N Morgan St, in downtown Rushville. One block wet of Main St., between 2nd and 3rd Street.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of curb-side parking around the church. For those who have trouble walking, we have a spots off of 3rd St between Morgan and Main St. Wheel chair ramp and automatic doors are on the east side of the building.
What should I wear?
While some like to dress in their “Sunday best,” most subscribe to the idea that one should “come as you are.” However you are dressed, we encourage you to be comfortable.
What is your worship service like?
We have one service for all at 11:00 AM on Sunday morning. It is a “blended service” with a set order each week, traditional hymns, a choral anthem, with teaching and sermon based on scripture. We offer a personal time of sharing our joys and concerns for our church family and friends. Songs are played on the organ or piano. We also include a children’s moment before they go to their Sunday School time.
Is there a Sunday School time?
We offer a variety of Christian Education experiences at 10:00 am. Adult Sunday School is working through the book of Ephesians. We off childrens classes to meet everyone in your family.
Do you have a choir?
We have a choir which meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room. They sing from September after Labor Day through Memorial Day weekend. During the summer we have special music for each worship service with guest performers, church members and outside groups with various sounds and styles of music. See our calendar for the month to see who is doing our music each week.
We invite you to experience the warmth of our congregation and participate in our various programs and services. Together, we can make a difference in our community.
